    October 11th 2017 - Citizenship Applicants under 3/5 rule

We submitted tax returns with our application. Although it is not specifically requested in the checklist, I work for a law firm that always submits tax return documents with applications.

    October 11th 2017 - Citizenship Applicants under 3/5 rule

Hubby just received his AOR today, December 1st! Was starting to get worried as I had heard processing for AOR was around 30 to 40 days and November 29th was the 40 day mark...

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2013

Not sure about Alberta but my husband was not able to get a health card in Nova Scotia when we moved here (even though he had a valid Ontario health card) because the time remaining on his work permit at the time was not at least a full year. This was after we had applied for PR. There didn't...

Do you guys aLways fight during the sponsorship appLication?

Welcome to the world of marriage/partnership/immigration! Yes. This was normal for my hubby and I. I was so worried that we'do miss doing something in the application process so I kind of took over the organization of the application package in mid-process. I was stressed out and so was he so...

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2013

Hubby just called me at work to let me know that his PR card came in the mail today! Hallelujah! Only took 99 days from the landing date. So quick! [/sarcasm] No more dealings with immigration until citizenship and it looks like they're changing the amount of time you have to spend in Canada...

Waiting for PR Card after landing - add your case here

My husband has been waiting just over 3 months now. He landed on March 12 and nothing. The guy in the call center said it should have be here on the 16th but that doesn't look promising as his ECAS says nothing about the PR card. We were told to call on the 24th of the month if we don't have...

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2013

So today is day 83 in my husband's wait for his PR card. Apparently the timeline is still at 85 days and yet when he called them today, they implied that the application was finished, they just had yet to mail the card out. "Implied" being the key word here. I cannot wait to be done with CIC for...

    Payment Receipt From CIC Blank?!

You may not have a client I.D yet. My husband had one, but that was from previous dealings with CIC for work permits and study permits. If you have not previously dealt with CIC, you won't have a client I.D until your application is filed, so that can stay blank for now. :)

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2013

This is bullsh*t. Not only do Inland applications have to wait longer, but there is yet more waiting after the whole process is done! The waiting time for a NEW PR card is now nearly the same waiting time as those waiting for a REPLACEMENT card. I am so frustrated. I can't even understand how it...

Urgent help as per my parents Date of Birth

As I mentioned in the Inland 2013 thread, you should go to an embassy (assuming you aren't Canadian) with as much information about your parents as possible and ask if they have access to birth/death records. Not filling out fields in your application or leaving them blank is a way to have your...

At risk of this being taken negatively due to my "involvement" with the thread: The OPs question was answered pages ago. This thread is becoming a battle ground, tit for tat. I think this thread/question has been fully explored. In the words of Disney's popular "Frozen": "Let it go, let it go."

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2013

Try to fill out all spaces to the best of your knowledge. Leaving blank spaces can result in having your application returned. Do you know where they were born? Often times an embassy will have access to records and birth notices. Another option would be to ask any surviving family members if...

Thank you, Zarilenth. Unfortunately people who don't want help cannot be helped. This seems to be one of those cases. Oh, and MissThea, since I think it's redundant to argue with people over the internet, here's the CNIB link where I found all the information I repeated to you...

    Disabled Sponsor, Sweetheart in Togo

"We people" get it. Disabled or not, everyone needs to be loved. We are not lacking in compassion, you just choose not to hear what we are trying to tell you. We are simply trying to help you as you have ASKED for help. Immigration is NOT a walk in the park. It is NOT easy and it is VERY easy...

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2013

Congrats! It's going to feel really surreal once everything is said and done! The letter of employment should be okay along with a pay stub, also provide contact information for the employer just in case. When my husband and I attended his landing interview, we weren't asked for anything...

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2013

Is that through E-CAS? I checked my husband's ECAS with his information and it doesn't show another field... I guess that means that they haven't even started to process it yet! Hopefully we're close as we landed 2 weeks after both yourself and Guri... Fingers crossed! Congrats and let us know...
