A Nepalese friend applied thru VFS in Kathmandu , received on May 31 and passport was returned on June 17. As per IC website for India, the waiting time for a TRV sent thru VFS takes 2 weeks and it took exactly two weeks. Very happy with the waiting time, it was respected. ;D

Hi Nidhidjoy16, yes it is a long wait 2.5 months. However they did tell u that it was in process. They do have a phone number , why dont u call them with your application number? Tell them how long you've been waiting and wondering if its normal . Goodluck.

Hi, First you should make sure they received it. Did USPS give you a tracking number? If they did receive it why dont you call them with your application number? Or send them an email with the title URGENT. Explain why you need the answer soon and justify your reason with proof . Goodluck.

Hi, if u read all the previous messages under this subject, you will notice that it takes approx a total of 40 days. It depends in which country you are. So if u have submitted your application on line on April 20 and if u are approved u probably wont get your passport until beginning of June...
