OHIP after First Stage Approval ( AIP ) _ Anyone applied?

The OHIP Review Board will have you sign a consent and then make the enquiries with CIC themselves. If you're outland and you've passed the eligibility assessment stage successfully and you meet the residency requirement, you'll be granted coverage.

CRIMINAL REHABILITATION and PERMANENT RESIDENCE APPLICATIONS

He'll just submit it at the counter. The CBSA officer will review it for completeness and, assuming it's complete, take your payment and send you on your way. They may call him back for an interview later or they may not. The additional convictions may present a problem for him. Just submit it...

Sponsoring my Korean wife for permanent residency

Well, first of all make sure you are using the right application package. There is a difference between the outland and inland application forms. Secondly, one of the forms, I can't remember which, will have a question along the lines of "Which visa office will process this application". You...

Everything approved on Oct 10 but no communication after

Don't worry about bothering the MP. They're there to assist you and they should be able to find out exactly where you stand.

Everything approved on Oct 10 but no communication after

Get the MP to follow up again. They should be able to get a firm status report. Sometimes the MP's assistant needs a little prodding.

Parents want to sponsor me but I have a minor criminal offense, help!

I would suggest consulting an experienced immigration lawyer. You may not be inadmissible at all because there are significant differences between foreign and Canadian copyright law and it is the Canadian statute that will determine whether you are inadmissible. It may well be that your...

Sponsoring my Korean wife for permanent residency

That's only a few months of silence, I wouldn't be too concerned. If you order your GCMS notes that will give you a better idea what they've been doing with your application.

Sponsoring my Korean wife for permanent residency

I wouldn't worry about it. When we came back a few years ago I was told by a few insurance companies that because I had been out of the country for 12 years I would be charged as a first time driver, even though I'd driven in Ontario for 24 years before going to Korea. I called around a little...

    Korea to Canada Spousal Sponsorship

You don't need to find one approved by CIC. Translators are not certified in Korea. You just need to find a translator and they will attach an affidavit stating that it's an accurate translation. CIC will accept that. It's not hard to find a translator in Korea. Call any lawyers office and...

CRIMINAL REHABILITATION and PERMANENT RESIDENCE APPLICATIONS

Sorry to hear that. The fact that he had the TRP may be the reason they weren't interested in dealing with his rehab app. Maybe they figured that since he had status to enter the country anyway, there was no reason he couldn't apply for rehab through the normal channels. In my wife's case she...

CRIMINAL REHABILITATION and PERMANENT RESIDENCE APPLICATIONS

Yeah, I read that too before we submitted my wife's rehab app in Windsor, so I submitted her original rehab app at the visa office responsible for her country of origin which was Manila. The CBSA officers in Windsor thought that was pretty funny and said it was going to take forever for Manila...

As far as I know, the process is the same. Not sure what the driving record is called in Korean. Why would you need it?

If they've notified you that you've been approved as sponsor and your file is in Manila, it probably means they just haven't updated it in ECAS.

Sponsoring my Korean wife for permanent residency

The moving company that packed us up in Korea knew exactly what to do and prepared a list for us as they packed and sealed it all up. I just attached it as an appendix to the B4 form and CBSA was happy with that. You don't need to be very specific. A box of kitchen items was just described as...

I'm assuming you're sponsoring your spouse. I was in a similar situation. I just reported the income from my main job, not all the privates etc. You'll be fine because if you are sponsoring your spouse there is no minimum income requirement, Again, no minimum income requirement for spousal...

Criminal Rehabilitation/Spousal Sponsorship - Processing Time

Similar story here. Only thing holding up my wife's PR was the criminality issue. Rehab was granted in March and then the file just sat around, no one looking at it, until 6 months later when PR was granted. It was very frustrating.
