Received AOR on 3rd of April; application got denied exactly a week later

Just curious, how did you calculate that? 28 hours x 60 weeks = 1680. Even if it was only 1564, shouldn't he still be eligible as the requirement is 1560?

Date I can apply for PR is the date my Visa expires!!

Apply for BOWP anyway (along with a cover letter explaining your situation), as that way you'll be under implied status for solid 2 months, and in the meantime you MIGHT receive your AOR that you can then forward to the CPC. It's a long shot, but I don't see what you have to lose in this situation.

    BOWP help needed `

I didn't send my AOR email together with BOWP application, as I didn't have it at the time. They should have everything right now though, but I guess there's no way to know for sure until I get an answer. So you're saying I shouldn't bother calling? Thanks for your help Winterfox.

    BOWP help needed `

I applied for PR a little while back, and as my PGWP was about to expire I decided to also apply for BOWP. The day I received AOR, I went to post office and mailed a cover letter asking them to add a printout of my AOR email, which I also sent, to my BOWP file.

I see. I already mailed them my AOR email though, should I also call or would that create needless confusion?

How to remain in Canada, extend to BWOP in my situation?

Yes, as long as you send in your visa application before the old one expires, you're under implied status until they make a decision.

How to remain in Canada, extend to BWOP in my situation?

Lets say you apply for PR in June. It normally takes about 40 days to receive AOR, so you have plenty of time to send in your application for BWOP. Worst case scenario, AOR gets delayed. You could send in the BWOP application anyway, along with a cover letter asking the processing officer to...

What about the working hours after submitting your PR application?

I think you're just over thinking this :) I'm in the same boat so I know how it is. I'm positive I've worked enough hours, but what if the processing officer thinks different and decides to decline my application without even giving a chance to prove otherwise?

    Question about earnings

Hi, Just curious about one thing. My pay stubs list a few different earning categories - there's regular earnings, statutory holiday, quarterly meeting, etc. Do all of those earnings get counted towards the required hours or is it only just regular earnings? Thanks in advance guys.

What about the working hours after submitting your PR application?

Does your reference letter list last years & year-to-date earnings? They should be able to divide those with your hourly rate and figure out if you've worked the required 1560 hours.

    Bridging visa - which CPP?

Hi, Where are we supposed to send our bridging work permit applications to? CIC's website contradicts itself. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/extend-worker.asp here it says CPP-Ottawa, yet the instruction guide mentions Vegreville, AB? Thanks

    Help!!

What if you worked 27 hours per week? You'd only need about 58 weeks to qualify, no?

    Help!!

This doesn't make any sense. 52 weeks times 30 (hours) comes down to 1560. I thought 1560 hours in a skilled occupation was the main work requirement, no matter if it's full or part time.
