I think that you should get your invite really soon, I also received my DM in May and yesterday got the oath invite, in worst case call CIC and let them know.

call them, IRCC Call Centre (1-888-242-2100) I am a November applicant, spoke with them yesterday , been told that my file was transferred to Mississauga and my oath suppose to be there in September, but no exact date yet.

You can travel, as long as you have other valid travel documents (with your PR card). After you became a Canadian citizen (after the oath) you must enter Canada with Canadian passport.
