Guys, I called CIC and they confirmed that a person can hold two work permit at same time and worked for two employers on their respective permit at same time. If anyone has doubt, pelase call CIC and confirm.

Thanks for the quick response.. On the same note, If some one has spend 2 years on work permit, but person was away from country for 3 months (due to work related travel and was still getting his salary paid in Canada), does that 3 months period away from Canada counts towards duration...

Hi, I have heard that time that one spend in Canada while on work permit (while working) counts towards the total time period required for Citizenship eligibility. i.e. if some one spend two years on work permit (while working) and later get the PR through CEC, then he / she only needs 1 year...

I checked with CIC, as per Canadian law, any one can hold two valid work permit and can also work for two employers at the same time. I would recommend to please share only authentic information, as otherwise it can mislead others. Thanks..
