Tracking PNP July 2012 applications to Nova Scotia

A friend was told it would take 5-6 weeks to get an appointment to land in Calgary local office (I cannot verify this though, so may be worth getting in touch with them and find out first hand). I wanted to land as soon as possible so travelled to US border.

All I needed was the CoPR and my passport. There will be information that comes with the CoPR telling what you need to take, just make sure you read that in case your requirements are different to mine. :)

It's not an official refusal to enter, just part of their paperwork I guess. They were very specific about telling me this. It is no problem don't worry. :)

All, Just wanted to share my PoE experience... I am in Calgary, Alberta, so I drove to Carway PoE. Then passed to the US border control, they knew exactly what I was doing before I even had to say it. The officer took my passport and I drove into a small car park and entered the building, I...

How long does it take CPP-O to stamp PR visas?

All, I am in Calgary, Alberta. I drove to Carway PoE. Then passed to the US border control, they knew exactly what I was doing before I even had to say it. The officer took my passport and I drove into a small car park and entered the building, I was given a refusal to enter US (but told this...

Since they have asked for biodata and photos does that mean they are printing the PR cards at the same time as COPR? These are the additional items requested for in the PR card application, and may be the reason for the delay, since current PR card processing time is 33 days...

Nothing for me either, it's been close to 4 weeks. My Ecas does say Decision made though, and has done for some time.

Nothing back from CIC yet, but my ecas says 'decision made', has done for 2 weeks now. A friend applied in June and it took 3 weeks for receipt of COPR, so maybe we'll get something this week?

You can get visa stamping within Canada, at specific CIC offices. However, there is often a long wait time. For example, in Calgary I think it is 5-6 weeks, whereas travel to the US border for 'flag-poling' takes a few hours.

My understanding of this is that you need to inform CIC of any changes to your application. If your application is 'sponsored' by your company, then you may need to start again if you move to a new company. Others on this forum may be able to provide a more clear answer though.

Tracking PNP July 2012 applications to Nova Scotia

My expectations are based on two things (all CPP-O): 1. April and May applicants have been receiving PPR for some time, June applicants have been receiving PPR since December. I know of one July applicant that has receiving PPR. 2. The average processing time is around 180-230days (based on...

Check your Nomination letter - If it states the employer on it then nomination is specific to your employment at that company (once you attain PR that doesn't matter anymore, you are free to work where you wish - once you have PR). My understanding is that you need to check with the province...
