It will tell you right there if it is started. If not mentioned, it means not started. When GGC is all clear, there is a section saying "the relationship looks fine, no criminal record, did web search on yyy organization but nothing to worry about, etc"

I don't think they will send you email just for that, at least not our case. But you will see when they actually started BGC on the GCMS note. I recommend ordering the note now, it will take a whole month.

Indeed it is! Nope, neither did mine. I think that is a template message - I see other folks got the same message too, without any attachment. I think if any message were to be attached, it must be CoPR (or what else it can be, right?), but as we all know CoPR won't come electronically. So...

Just update! As other people tried, I also emailed CPC Ottawa yesterday and received PPR today! As other victims, our case is DM on Sep 1, main VO is Ottawa while transferred to Miss on Aug 29. We also got GCMS note, and it looks like CPC M indeed made the decision on Aug 31. But then PPR...

That's how the government and their officers work, don't you think? Service Canada agents, boarder officers, etc they all have different procedures depending on who you talk to.

Sorry not to crush your hope, but there are a bunch of people including me got DM beginning Sep and have not heard anything ever since then from Mississauga/Ottawa. So... We can only cross the fingers, but just warn you not to be excited even if you see DM on Ecas
