    IMM5491 - Document Checklist - Box #19 - (Minimum Required Income)

Re: IMM5491 - Document Checklist - #17 - Minimum Required Income Thank you kindly for your reply! She is currently working full time as a barista, so I suppose that won't be a problem. However, I actually meant 'document' #19, not #17. 17 is where you call the Canada Revenue Agency, so I...

    IMM5491 - Document Checklist - Box #19 - (Minimum Required Income)

Hello there! I had a quick question about supporting documents concerning a minimum necessary income requirement for the sponsor. My Canadian wife (sponsor) and I have no children. The permanent residence application is just for me. She was born in Canada. Does she still have a minimum...

Town hall won't accept my marriage certificate

Hi I'm trying to get a 12 month work permit through Youth Work Holiday, so I can be with my Canadian wife while we wait for my PR. This requires a proof of domicile. Right now, it states that I'm not married, but I have to say in the forms that I -am- married. Surely this mess things up...

IMM5481 - Sponsorship Evaluation; What exactly are undertakings?

Hello! My Canadian wife is trying to apply to become my sponsor. We're looking at IMM5481, and are having issues understanding the right half of the first page. She lives by herself, and she's sponsoring her spouse. We have no kids. Where do we put the "1"? Also, do we have to leave the rest...

IMM1344; can my wife sign for me? (we are on different continents at the moment)

I'm in Belgium right now, and my wife is in Canada. Can my wife sign this form for me or does she have to send it to me before we can send it to Mississauga?

Other names (e.g. nicknames, maiden names, alias)

Are there any specifications to adding letters? Or should I just put them behind all the forms.

Ahh, thanks for sharing your experiences all! Will they keep your marriage certificate? I ordered a bunch of them; spares and one to frame in. :)

Other names (e.g. nicknames, maiden names, alias)

Hello! Some forms ask for other names. My wife and I are both artists with a small following. I have a musical "stage name" I suppose, and my wife posts her work (as a visual artist) on things like Facebook or blogs using a different middle name. ... Is this information they want to know from...

    IMM5491E

Thank you. Another question about this document; if I don't need a certain form (like e.g. Use of a Representative) do I check the box or write NA over it before sending it? Furthermore, do I need to include that form regardless?

Marrying an American wife, when and ho can she work?

She can look for a job during the 3 months visitor's visa, and get a work permit through getting a written job offer. The thing is though, she'll have to be able to convince her future employer that she's worth going through the hassle of getting a labour market opinion. There are other ways...
