thanks for all the replies..... I will apply as soon as I move in Canada, theres a big chance I will be granted a tourist visa since I stayed in US for almost 7 yrs under working visa and my visa will be expiring soon so I need to get a tourist visa to visit US.

I read an article that I can only apply US tourist Visa in the country where my passport was issued. So I need to go back to my home country just to apply for US tourist visa....is this true?!? Did anybody here encounter this? thanks, rslcanada

Thanks Leon.... atleast I will not do written & road test anymore. much better if I can exchange it directly to G DL. My 15yrs DL is in english so I need to provide driving abstract. I will just check the link you provide. Most probably I will stay in Ontario when I come back.

my advice is renew your license.... i know u can renew it 3-4mos earlier like sa case nmin. just present your visa & ticket pra i renew ka ng LTO otherwise di ka i re renew kung walang valid reason. canada/usa will not acknowledge expired DL. pra atleast mka drive ka 2-3mos of your arrival sa...

i think he/shes talking about Phil drivers license & didnt count for driving experience. good thing I already got US DL & no need for written/road test anymore & will get full DL.

with or without LTO certificate...you will need to take written & road test. just present your Phil DL so that you dont need to enroll in driving school.
