Hi Znarfier! In our case, we are Dubai Residents but since processing is so much shorter in Manila, we chose Manila as our visa office when we submitted our application but they still forwarded it to Abu Dhabi. So I would say that it is still their discretion where to have the application...

In our case, we have requested in our application for Manila to be our visa office but they still sent it to ADVO because we are currently residing in UAE. So most likely your application was also forwarded by CIC to ADVO because you are also in the UAE which means you will get your MR...

No news yet. You will probably get the PPR before me because you are 3 weeks ahead of me so you will be my gauge. The moment you get yours, mine will follow... :D May I ask, when exactly did you do your medicals? Any changes in ecas yet?

Yes, it took 7 months before we received our MR. It was such a long wait. Patience is really a virtue. However, it is still a case to case basis but from what I've seen in this forum, it usually takes 180 days (+/- 10 days) from the AOR-CIO till the MR.
