Difference between Rehabilitation Serious Criminality and just criminality.

Lina, just from personal experience, I would just pay the $1000 upfront rather than wait for them to ask you for more money. We've paid the additional $800 over 3 months ago, and are still waiting. As for the rehab application, we decided to go with a lawyer to assist us because I didn't feel...

Tips for Landing in Canada: Info on Goods/Luggage We can Bring

I believe I was reading it on CIC's site. And the type of items I was wondering about were things like household goods/furniture/larger electronics or appliances. I saw something about wedding gifts and I think it said if the wedding occured no more than 3 months ago then you can claim wedding...

is there AnY way to be removed as a co signer

I guess that the ex husband got off scott free since he left the country as none of those methods would apply to him. Maybe if he decides to come back in the future or files for taxes

is there AnY way to be removed as a co signer

Well that is really sad for her, as it seems that everyone changed for the worse. What would happen if neither of them paid? I know that the would not be able to sponsor in the future, but legally, what could happen? Does the government then garnish wages etc or they get black listed or something?

is there AnY way to be removed as a co signer

Wow, I'm really sad to hear this turn of events for you. It must be very difficult for you and your daughter. Please hang in there and I hope you can get some advice from someone. This story made me wonder if the partner was still in Canada or returns to Canada, would the OP be able to sue him...

Tips for Landing in Canada: Info on Goods/Luggage We can Bring

I wondered because technically it's supposed to be used. I always feel like things vary from agent to agent, if they are having a good day etc and was wondering if anyone ever had issues.

Tips for Landing in Canada: Info on Goods/Luggage We can Bring

Hey great thread! One thing I was wondering about for US to Canada landings, when you are bringing household goods across the land border, do the agents usually inspect them? The reason I ask is if there are items that were not used very much and could pass for new, do they just automatically...

    Quarterly processing times

As weird as it sounds, obsessing about these things probably help many of us pass the immigration processing time. Is it healthy? probably not

    Quarterly processing times

of course it doesn't make the process better nor quicker, which is why people need to rant sometimes. Remember, not everyone is the same.

    Quarterly processing times

Of course this forum is a much better source of info, but it's just that they are muddying the little bit of 'official' info that we get. One less thing to obsess about ;)

Depending on the airport at which you land, some offer the opportunity of applying then and there for your SIN. Otherwise, you would go to services Canada after you land with your COPR. I don't think they give cards anymore, just the number which you are supposed to memorize.

    Quarterly processing times

To tell you the truth, I'm not sure why they make you wait 30 days for your notes. Wouldn't they want to make it really quick so that people will order more notes and they could make more money? Could be a nice side business of immigration if you ask me. Though I would probably be one of those...

    Quarterly processing times

I definitely understand how you feel. I feel like since sponsors/applicants are pretty much blind in this process, it would be nice if the instruments that we are given (ECAS, processing times, GCMS notes) were updated in a consistent and timely manner at least so that we have something solid...

    Quarterly processing times

lol it's so funny Sammy that they call it quarterly cause it seems to be pushed longer and longer each time. Last quarter they were late by more that a month If I remember correctly.
