Advice for bringing my Chilean wife to Canada.

It is up to the officers discretion. I think it will likely be allowed because you will be married by that point. I think if you were not married but were planning to get married in Canada, and she is from a visa-require country, it might be more difficult/risky.

    spouse sponsorship

Yes you can. If he is from a visa-required country it will likely be denied. If he is from a visa-exempt country then it will likely be approved. Since the PR application is outland, he may have to return to his home country for an interview, if an interview is required.

    Marriage Fraud Investigation

If the PR says "condition 51" on it then the person is required to be deported if the marriage breaks down before 2 years has passed.

    Getting a divorce. Question

You can stay as long as you want. You have a PR and its actually very unlikely CIC will revoke that. The have the right to, but so far as faras we know, they have never revoked a PR that was under cond 51. As far as your rent goes you should be able to get the money back minus a penalty for...

Did I need to extend my visitor record while I am waiting for inland sponsorship

You don't have implied status. CBSA could technically deport you today if they wanted to. I would recommend reapplying for the visitor visa.

Proof of co-habitation for spousal sponsorship

You don't need it before you are apporoved. But after you get your PR the rules become much stricter and you should hang onto evidence of co-habition for 2 years.

What are the set livingrequirements for my common-law based permanent residence?

lol. You are the one making the claim that one type of fraud is more common than another. So it is your responsibility to prove that claim, or at least show some evidence. You haven't done that. Don't make claims you can't back up. Also, keep in mind, i'm not claiming the people who live...

What are the set livingrequirements for my common-law based permanent residence?

Your only argument is that you think it is unlikely people will pretend to live together to get immigration status (you have no stats whatsoever). My link proves you wrong.

It also lumps genuine relationships which break up after 2 years (or even couples who are apart for more than 2 weeks like millions of couples do) as "fraudulent". For example, the shining example of commonlaw relationship this thread was started by. Turning innocent people into de-facto...

What are the set livingrequirements for my common-law based permanent residence?

Cond 51 achieves it's goals by using "time spent together" as a method for determining sincerity. They have fallen for the modern ideal and thrown out the old ideals. There's a million ways to deal with fraudulent applicants, but the specific method they chose is very telling indeed. And yes i...

What are the set livingrequirements for my common-law based permanent residence?

CIC is definitely changing things. Marriage means less than it did. Time spent together means more. Cond 51 is evidence of that shift in thinking. The shift started 40 years ago, and it is continuing. Generations of children are being raised being told over and over and over that vows and oaths...

What are the set livingrequirements for my common-law based permanent residence?

Were they red flagging married couples that hadn't lived together for 1 year first back then? I think they were not. Fair enough, but that's a new argument. Now instead of claiming i have the freedom i always had and nothing has changed, you now argue that yes its changed but its better that...

What are the set livingrequirements for my common-law based permanent residence?

I'm not insulting your belief. I'm describing it. You like bread, i like pizza. But don't tell me my pizza is "just bread", because its more than just bread. It has cheese and tomato sauce and anchovies... but yours is just bread, you are happy with just bread. Good for you. It doesn't mean...

What are the set livingrequirements for my common-law based permanent residence?

Obviously marriage is more than a "piece of paper", and yet you and others continue to throw that phrase around. It's insulting, especially from people who's only concern is money. Oh? Maybe it was someone else who mentioned they have shared ownership of their pet? Whoever it was, i find that...

What are the set livingrequirements for my common-law based permanent residence?

You dismiss marriage as "just a peice of paper" and then proceed to list a bunch of other peices of paper. I just found that interesting. And they were all related to financial arrangements. As if that is the be all and end all of everything. Traditions do evolve, but its sad to see what they...

What are the set livingrequirements for my common-law based permanent residence?

Aren't those just "pieces of paper"? Although I do find it interesting that possession of material items has taken the place of vows in front of family and under God. I'm not sure which is more meaningful and heart-felt, but it does betray something about our current society, doesn't it?

What are the set livingrequirements for my common-law based permanent residence?

Marriage isn't a just peice of paper. It is a vow, a social/familiar contract. Commonlaw partners have no vow. They have no social contract. In my eyes, that is a huge difference. The sponsorship is a contract and a committment, and i should only be permitted if the couple have already made a...

Spouse sponsorship while on student visa

Technically they can be deported by CBSA. However CIC doesn't care about status and will still process the application. The applicant should try to remain in status if at all possible. Perhaps apply for an visitor visa.
