T Thanks a lot. The 1095 days rule does help a lot since we are definitely under the 1095 days still.

Proof of time abroad with Canadian Citizen Spouse

Yes, I did my undergrad and worked two years in Canada before moving back to my home country for 4 years. After that, hubby and I got married and we moved back to Canada and applied for my PR then. It got approved in 2014 and I lived in Canada up till end 2021, before we decided to move to my...

Proof of time abroad with Canadian Citizen Spouse

Yes, I believe I do have sufficient days including visits to Canada after moving overseas. The problem is we did not keep the bank statements and hydro bills (not every month at least) and as such, may have some difficulty furnishing those. We had our cell phone bills under hubby’s name so those...

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2013

If she is in Canada, I believe you should be filing taxes together especially when she is not working. She will be able to transfer her personal amount to you such that you get a better tax refund. :) But do bear in mind that if she will be taxed on her world income when filing too. As I was...

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2013

Finally received correspondence from CIC, so I am guessing they received my police certs. The thing is, it doesn't say a decision has been made, just that the application is completed and transferred to the office in my city. Is this DM or am I suppose to be waiting for yet another letter? Just...

Hi Kaira, Does it show online that PCC is received? I sent mine more than a month ago, and both times, the contact center agent says he doesn't know if it is received. And nothing is reflected online... Sigh... Anyway, good luck on the DM! May it be speedy! :)

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2013

Yes, apparently we do need to file taxes. Haha! I have decided to just write a letter to CRA to update entry date (2012), and file when they tell me to for 2012. But for 2013, going to file with the hubby. Just so that my personal amounts can be transferred to him. :) More refunds! Yeah!

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2013

Ok, this is totally non-immigrations related! And completely tax related. I am trying to file my 2012 returns (despite only being in Canada from Oct 2012) and was wondering if anyone has the same experience. Which form should I be using? The non-resident form or the normal provincial tax form...

Color photocopy is a good idea. I did black and white. The agent says within 2 weeks of them opening... So, no idea how long they take to open.
