Send them an email to follow-up on your application. Our e-cas said similar info; they started processing our application on September 16, 2013. Today we received a call from the Canadian Embassy in Mexico asking us why we didn't send our passport yet. We were confused because we hadn't receive...

OMG... Finally... The decision came through!!!!! We've just received our Passport Request! Canada, here we come! Btw, our medicals were going to expire on January 4th, but in the letter they sent us they gave us an extension automatically until February 21. I'm so happy! We have two weeks to...

YEs bibitte you should start your request for the CSQ. You just need to attach your sponsorship approval (letter confirmation you received) as the proof Immigration Québec is asking for to make sure you're approved as sponsor by CIC.

Im going crazy here... I check my husband's email 3 times a day to see if he received anything from immigration.. Received AOR on May 22 and haven't heard from CIC since, and my hubby's medicals expire on January 4... Getting close. I hope they won't make us do it again, it's kinda they fault if...

Hello all! I am glad to see things are moving in the Mexican Embassy... I was starting to loose hope! I had a quick question for some of you that already received PPR; do they send you an email notification or only a letter from the mail when they ask for the Passport? I want to make sure we...

Totally agree with you! I got caught with that one because I did not do it right away... Immigration Québec takes 20+ days to send the response, and CIC only gives you 30 days to send the actual paper. Had to ask for an extension, which they never replied to, but I assumed they accepted it.

I did not sign anything/paper that did not apply to me, and I would recommend you to do the same, and I did put N/A in the tables/questions that did not apply, to show them I saw the question and intentionally left it blank. Are you looking at the immigration guide while filing up your...

Hopefully it's not too late to answer your question about Québec... I'm from Montréal as well, and when we filled up the application, we left this space blank, and when we printed it we put TBD (To be determined). The thing is that on the Québec Immigration website (...

Some people also receive the AOR after 3 or 4 months... That's why I was so happy I finally got it. It seems pretty regular to have it after 3 months.

OMG :) We just got our AOR! We are going to live in Quebec so they asked us for the CSQ which we didn't know we had to do in advance... Too bad :( Does anybody know if they usually ask for all the missing documents when they send the AOR or if they usually ask other stuff along the way? We...

Good evening everyone, Quick question: Do you guys know if changing your address has a big impact on the processing time of the application? And since we are still waiting on our AOR, should we wait until we get it before sending any case specific enquiry or it doesn't matter? Thanks for the help!

Is that true? We are not supposed to wait for a letter from CIC requesting the police certificate when we are outside of Mexico? Should we wait at least to get the AOR? I got accepted as a sponsor on February 22. No news yet...

    Spousal sponsorship

Well since you've only been together since may 2012, and you can't apply for common-law since it hasn't been a year of cohabitation, I would suggest that he comes to Canada as a visitor, like any other American that can come 6 months/year without much problems as long as he shows he can support...

    Spousal sponsorship

Good idea not to get a lawyer! We did the mistake to try one and he lasted one 100$ sessions... After that, he sent me an aprologizing email stating that he was sorry he couldn't help me more, and that he was impressed with everything I knew (with all my readings and this forum ^^ ) You clearly...
