My Sponsorship apprival letter was sent to me April 8th. It also said the application for PR is forwarded to Visa office abroad for processing. So if this is correct, it would be April 8 plus 9 months so I should expect something by January?

I checked the outlanders applications for February, a few of them are already getting their PR. Its just strange.... I submitted the criminal record check in early June. I wonder if that delays processing. ..

:o Anyone know the processing times? Site says: Step 1. Sponsorship approval 26 days. Step 2. Visa Office processing time 9 months. So for step 2 do I start counting from Feb 25, 2013 (When application received)? ...or do I start counting 9 months from an email dated April 22nd...

I plan on applying from outland. So my focus is to gather all supporting documents, and fill out the sponsor and immigration application form. My wife will need to fill out her PR visa application from HK. Is this correct?

Well, its like this. The sponsorship and PR are two seperate processes. If I just worked on the sponsorship, she will be able to fill in our address at the airport to have Immigration Canada send her the PR Card, without even applying for PR. Sponsorship application package has maybe 6 forms...

I have been told that If I apply for sponsorship, once approved, when she lands here at the airport she can fill in our address and have Immigration Canada send her the PR Card? So do I really need to fill in the form for the PR? Or am I missing something here?
