Question 11 - eligibility covers time as high school student

Thanks for the reply. Do we need to do that? We've spent sometime in Quebec and my 2 kids studied there for 2 years, but we're now in Ontario and they graduated high school here. They are presently college/uni students. Do we really need to attach the school records? It is not on the document...

Question 11 - eligibility covers time as high school student

We will be sending our application as a family on December. I have 2 children who are over 18 years old and would be filing as an adult. We have a dilemma on filling-out question 11. Do we do it like this: 2013/12 to 2014/06 - Student 2014/07 to 2014/08 - Unemployed/School break 2014/09 to...

English school for new Immigrants in Montreal

If you're coming to Quebec as a work permit holder, you can send your child to an English school. You will be asked to file an application but you can already look for schools near your place of residence. Also, there's no tuition fee. I think there's some fee, around $20 more or less.

    October 11th 2017 - Citizenship Applicants under 3/5 rule

Me again :) I didn't land on that date. I'm still a temp worker that time, and that was 2013. It's just that when I received my COPR last 2015, the initial entry date was wrong. When we completed our landing process, I wasn't able to have this corrected at the border.

    October 11th 2017 - Citizenship Applicants under 3/5 rule

Yes! That is absolutely the case. At one point when I was a temporary worker, I was sent to Las Vegas for a conference. Not even a week-long conference. Then when I came back, they recorded that as my initial landing on my COPR. Thanks!

    October 11th 2017 - Citizenship Applicants under 3/5 rule

10 months. But during that time, I was a temporary worker. They recorded as initial landing date, the day I went back from a conference that I attended out of the country. Thanks!

    October 11th 2017 - Citizenship Applicants under 3/5 rule

May I ask for your opinion on my case. The initial entry date on my COPR is incorrect. But the rest of my family's initial entry date is ok. But on October 11, I will have the required physical presence regardless of the mistake on my COPR. Do you think I should apply for a correction first...

Waiting for Passport - Please add your case here

Oh but I read somewhere with the same experience and he was able to have it corrected at the border. We plan to drive in the afternoon, you think it's a good time? Or is it better to go there very early in the morning? Thanks!

Got our passports and COPR. However, there's a mistake on my initial entry date. I believe this one can be corrected when we land. We plan to flagpole this weekend. Best of luck to everyone!

    IT Job prospects in Canada

^ I agree! IT jobs don't really need Canadian experience. You just have to be really good in the interviews and you will surely get the job. I arrived in Canada in December 2012, started applying in January 2013 and got one February. When you get it, do a really awesome job and you will not be...
