So I sent my application for Citizenship a month an a half after I sent my request for a new PR card. I got the AOR for citizenship today! I know it’s 2 different processes but makes me think why is it that an AOR for a card renewal takes longer? o_O

I applied in May, my application was received (as per Canada Post) on May 20th, haven’t heard anything yet, I called CIC last week to ask for an update since I need my PR card to apply for a visa and they said they are currently working on applications received in March

I called CIC before sending my application and asked about the timelines, from what I understand is 114 days from the day they received your application, in your case from March 26. I would call CIC just to clarify, if that is the case, they should be mailing your card soon
