Wondering if folks wanna share their experience with eVisa for India? e.g. how much time it took to get eVisa, any challenges they faced etc.?

Thanks for your response. In our case we only have one way ticket to India for now. Will see if anyone else replies. Hopefully someone will share their experience about the surrender certificate too.

Do we need to shown a return ticket from India when arriving India on eVisa? Also, is it necessary to secure a surrender certificate of Indian citizenship prior to applying for eVisa?

how do people figure out which office is processing their application? The only communication I have is AOR which is of course shows Sydney office. BG complete but there was no email notification so can't tell if the application has moved to a different location since then.

Interesting, the online tracker for me says the following message from Day 1. Seems like you had a slightly different message until it got changed from "....we have sent you instructions to prepare..." to ".....Information about next steps and required action items will be coming soon."?

oh i see. It is good to know that the updates on tracker don't initiate an email notification. I will check tracker more regularly. Unfortunately ECAS does not work for me. I am able to login in the new tracker though. Paper application.

ECAS is not working for me. No issues signing up the new tracker though. Has anyone with paper application had similar experience on ECAS?

oh i see. You were able to check on ECAS from day one, it is just that the status changed to 'in progress' only after 1+ month. On Aug 12, right? For some reason, I am not successful in checking status on ECAS. I keep getting "We were not able to identify you".
