Inland PR application success for my wife. Does she need to leave and enter?

Thank you for confirming. She has already gone to the Immigration Canada office and received her temporary PR confirmation paper until her permanent card arrives. We have also registered her for her SIN and OHIP. So I guess that is all there is to it. :)

Inland PR application success for my wife. Does she need to leave and enter?

After almost 2 years my wife's inland PR application has completed much to our joy. She has told me though, that she had heard from other friends who got their PR that they must leave and enter Canada after receiving their PR card for it to be finalized. I have never read anything to this...

Just received "Permanent residence - Call in Notice" email

So would we be safe to assume that this interview will be the final step and if approved she will get her CoPR? It says the below in the email we received: They never stamp anything in the passport regarding the visa? Just the CoPR and eventually the PR card? As I mentioned in my previously...

Just received "Permanent residence - Call in Notice" email

    1) Our application is inland. 2) Thanks. I see it says ~45 days. We will need to leave the country before then and be out of the country for a year or more. Can we still have it sent to our address and the sent directly to her by family?

Just received "Permanent residence - Call in Notice" email

Thank you. A few more question if I may: 1. Is the interview generally quite intensive with many questions or simple? I guess it is case by case. 2. After the interview the only remaining thing is to get the actual PR card? How long does it generally take to arrive, a few weeks or months?

Just received "Permanent residence - Call in Notice" email

My wife just received the"Permanent residence - Call in Notice" email notifying her that she will be getting interviewed next month and that the decision will be finalized at that interview: Can anyone advise what the process is after this? If the interview is successful do they add a...

what kind of questions do they ask in the interview?

To anyone who has actually gone through their interview for the final decision are the questions in the first post representative of what they will actually ask? Will they be asking all 83 questions or randomly from that list?

Awaiting PR interview for my wife but now we need to leave Canada due to my work

We applied for my wife's Canadian permanent residency almost 2 years ago (I am a Canadian citizen) and it we just got the work that her appointment to have it finalized will be in the first week of December (yay, finally!). But now after all the effort, waiting and cost my company is posting me...

Leaving the country while waiting for PR visa?

Thank you for your feedback. Does anyone else have experience with having gone back to their home country while their inland PR was in progress and then returning to Canada? In this case my wife will be going and coming back by herself so I am concerned about her getting rejected and sent back...

Inland PR application for my wife but we may be moving to the UK

Thank you for the advice. The problem is that we may have to leave Canada ahead of moving to go to the UK to arrange a residence so it may be cause a problem with her trying to get back into Canada as I understand that is an issue.

Inland PR application for my wife but we may be moving to the UK

Thank you for your replies. As we would be leaving this fall/end of summer (pending visa for the UK) there is likely little chance of the PR visa being issued before then. Taking that into consideration I guess that cancelling is the only way to go. Unfortunate that we could have not received...

Inland PR application for my wife but we may be moving to the UK

We applied for PR (inland) back in January 2014 and have only received notification that they received our package so I not think we are even to the 1st stage. At this rate I believe it may be another year or more before anything is issued in terms of PR visa. Now, however, it looks like my...

Leaving the country while waiting for PR visa?

Thank you for your reply. Yes, she is from a visa-exempt country (Japan) so does this mean she should "technically" be able to leave and come back?

Leaving the country while waiting for PR visa?

Quite right. I just now see "Does not authorize re-entry" written at the bottom of the OWP. I wonder, can I apply for another visitor visa as a work around or is that not possible?

Leaving the country while waiting for PR visa?

Thank you for your replies folks. Just to add that she also has an OWP, which she just recently received, and it is valid until 2017/03 (but she is not currently employed).

Leaving the country while waiting for PR visa?

We applied inland for my wife in January of 2014 and she will need to return to her home country for her brother's wedding this fall. I understand that one cannot leave the country while waiting for their PR visa to be processed but with the wait time being what it is it may take another 1-1.5...

Problems attempting to apply for OHIP while waiting on inland PR visa.

We also had her driver's license and mail with our current address but to no avail. It was quite frustrating as they seemed not be able to give a clear answer.

Problems attempting to apply for OHIP while waiting on inland PR visa.

We applied (inland) for my wife's permanent residence in January 2014 and are still waiting. A few months ago she did receive her work permit thankfully but she is not employed as of yet. This past week we went to Ottawa city hall to attempt to apply for OHIP for her. We brought all of the...

Moving to another country after PR application has been submitted?

Thank you that sounds like good advice. 1. How does one withdraw and already submitted application and would there be any chance of reclaiming any of the $1200 spent? 2. As her visitor visa expires soon (before we will be leaving the country) I assume it would be best to renew her existing...
