Hello bcwaj, How did your test go, where did you write it? 8) @All: Is the number of guests I can bring to the oath ceremony limited in any way? Like one friend per person or so? I mean, if everybody brings five friends it would get pretty full, eh?! ;)

I have received my oath invitation, CIC has mailed out the letter to me on March 19. However, my ecas status still has not been updated. I find that a bit strange. Anyone with a similar experience? Best of luck and keep the faith! Maple Eagle

@ Jeleni: Sorry to hear that. Interesting that you did not get invited for your oath in early December when CIC staff conducted tests and ceremonies in Victoria. I had my test on Dec 12 and am still waiting for a result. Perhaps you should call again to clarify your situation with first-hand...

Test Taken on Jan 11 2013 in Calgary

Even worse: my test was on Dec 12 in Victoria and so far I have nothing heard. Will the gut feeling be good enough? I can only hope - and wait. Bummer.

Correct! "Just do it", eh?!! Had my test more than two months ago and still do not know whether I passed or not. They could at least inform applicants about their test results.

    Victoria / Vancouver

Hello everyone! Does CIC also schedule oath dates for Victoria (like the test dates) or do all island applicants have to attend their ceremony in beautiful Vancouver? Any info regarding this matter is hugely appreciated. Have a great Sunday! Maple Eagle

    Need citizenship questionaire

This practice test is as close as it gets to the real one. It is good to prepare but the actual test will contain different questions. That is why you need to know everything from the booklet. You must answer 15 out of 20 questions correctly, i.e. you need a 75 % score. All the best! ;)

    Need citizenship questionaire

The answer is No. You will need to soak up all the information contained in the study guide. It is quite comprehensive for sure - but there is no shortcut on the way to becoming a Canadian citizen. I am speaking out of my own experience. Learn and retain as much info as possible from the...

It took seven months for me from the start of processing to receiving the test invitation letter. That was for BC, however. Hope this helps you anyways, Eliza.
