I think no need to give them update. In my Case I just sent them new MRP when they asked me to send Passport and I got VISA no problem.

Dear All forum member, By the Grace of Allah Yesterday afternoon I got my Passport with Maple Leaf Visa from VFS. After Submit my passport it took 35 days. Please pray for me. I hope all forum members will get their desired VISA very soon. Best of Luck

Congratulation for your information. Today I got below information from VFS through Tracking. Passport released by the High Commission of Canada, Singapore, , Pin:160017, Tel: on 17/12/2012 and is in Transit.It might take 2/3 days in transit to reach Application Centre. Please Pray for me .

Congratulation.................. You can contact directly with UK police department through internet or phone call. If any relative is there then contact with them as soon as possible. My one friend manage UK police clearence certificate from Bangladesh through email as far I know.
