    Dakar, Senegal applicants

We just got our PPR last night, dated November 22!! :D They asked for us to redo our medicals, and said that we have to wait 6-8 weeks after the medical results to send our passport in by courier. Hopefully once the passport gets there there won't be much delay!!

    Dakar, Senegal applicants

I checked this morning when I woke up, and ecas was updated! We are now in process! Originally it showed the application as being received on November 15, 2012, this morning it now shows that they've started working on it November 18, 2013, so a few days delay from when they started working on...

    Dakar, Senegal applicants

That's fantastic news jcruicks!! Yay!! I'd say call the British High Commission in Ottawa, they're best placed to answer if a transit visa is required although a look at http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/visas-immigration/transitthroughtheuk/visa-transit-airside/ shows who needs a visa.

    Dakar, Senegal applicants

My wife heard from Dakar that they are currently working on applications received in June 2012 for family sponsorship. We're unsure if she should be doing her medical and police applications soon because they expire in September and we don't want further delays if they ask for it. Has anyone...

    Dakar, Senegal applicants

According to my wife, your husband need a transit visa (depending on what country he is going through in Europe) if he intends to go out and explore. If he is only going through for a layover and he is not going to go outside the airport, he does not need a transit visa

We heard back from Dakar last month, after we asked, that they have received our file and are currently working on applications received in December 2011. Also, my wife found this forum post on another forum, where someone else got more information back from Dakar...

Does anyone have any updates? We haven't seen our ecas change, we're still on application received. Has anyone had any contact with the Dakar VO?

October 2012 Applicants! Here's our thread!

What does ECAS show for stage 2 AOR? Does it add a line for applicant, in addition to the sponsor for stage 1?

I'm not the one who started it, but I like spreadsheets so I just added you in.

October 2012 Applicants! Here's our thread!

Glad to hear that you've got a reply, BritishInKorea, and how it arrived (email from Seoul VO). Do you want to add yourself to the October 2012 spreadsheet? https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AlNNP-HCQMHZdDNGWE1wdGV6c1M3eXlReWJTTERIY0E#gid=0 I'm wondering how these are transmitted...

You can ask to apply through the US if you want, but depending on how Mississauga reads the application they may decide to send it to China anyways.

October 2012 Applicants! Here's our thread!

I see on the spreadsheet that only one of us, for Vienna, has received an AOR for Stage 2. I know it's always going to be longer for some people, but I was hoping for more by now so we can all see where we are in the process.

    Residence and landing.

I'm not sure, but I hope not. I'm assuming that you can land anywhere and state where you intend to live, although I'm not sure if Quebec would be different. I know that we're hoping to land in New Brunswick, then drive to Ontario. Edit: Again, not sure for Quebec, but I'm pretty sure that...

    Dakar, Senegal applicants

Hello everyone! I've noticed that there's no thread for Dakar so I'd like to start one. Dakar handles permanent residence immigration applications for the following countries: Burkina-Faso, Cameroon, Cape Verde, Central African Republic, Chad, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, Guinea (except...

Lawful Admission Policy for PR applications

I got a PM that I couldn't reply to so I'll just reply here. Yes, we applied in October 2012 to Mississauga, putting that we would like to be processed in the US or Ottawa due to my wife's history in the US. We got the sponsor approval back yesterday that we are going on to Stage 2, and that...

Lawful Admission Policy for PR applications

This is what happened with us. My wife is in this situation, and the last time she entered the US her visa was only good for less than a year, but she had lived in the US many years and had been admitted for at least a year. CIC only seems to care about the most recent admittance, even if...

October 2012 Applicants! Here's our thread!

I've had a feeling all afternoon, and I just got the email that I've been approved as a sponsor!! :) Unfortunately due to issues we've been sent to the Dakar office instead of Ottawa.

October 2012 Applicants! Here's our thread!

Since I last posted I've discovered the spreadsheet (and so has my wife) and I just added our status today (waiting 28 days so far). Congrats to everyone who's got their approval quickly, and here's hoping the rest of us October people will be processed quickly. We're also looking forward to...
