From my experience with the Medicals, they didn't do an EKG test. All I had to have was a chest X-ray and give blood and urine samples.

Did you get that response from the Buffalo office or the New York office?

well...you're right :) We're not in any hurry but we would still like to do it before I move to Canada permanently which I'm planning on doing by the end of this year. I'd like for us to be able to move there together if possible.

I had applied for my PR before I considered marriage. My application was approved and I recently landed. My gf and I have been talking about marriage but we are not in any hurry...anyone have an idea how long we should wait before getting married so I can sponsor her as a spouse without any issues?

Yep...I sent out my PP on Dec 20th.

After you mentioned it, I checked my e-cas and it has changed to "Decision Made" as well. I guess we can hope it is a positive sign!

Yarla7bh, If your DMP sent the results by Fedex or UPS which is what they usually do, it should take no more than a day or 2 to reach Ottawa and another week or 2 for e-cas to show "Medicals received" From my application and looking at others here, I would say that the PP requests arrive...

Congrats mark! You got your Christmas gift! Anyone know how long before they send the PP back? I don't feel comfortable when it is not in my posession :)

faith-full...on the letter i received, they did not mention anything about being able to get the visa stamping done in person. They only gave me the option to send it by mail along with 4 passport photos, a filled out form that they send you authorizing them to affix the visa in your passport...

Thanks mark_immi and faithfull I got mine in the mail...all their correspondence with me has been through snail mail. I received only the first AOR from CIO Sydney by email.

Received my PPR today in the mail...dated Dec 15th. A little quicker than expected. Good luck to all of you.

My medicals were sent on Dec 1st 2010, e-cas was updated to "medicals received" today Dec 14th 2010.

Ugh! That's very reassuring! ::) Any idea why it is taking so long? I checked on trackitt.com and the average time for a PP request from the NY Consulate after Medicals being done is around 2 months.
