You are right PMM but I did apply while I was in Canada. I had to send all my documents to Canadian High Commission in New Zealand.

You can apply for IEC while you are in Canada (atleast that is what the rule is for New Zealand citizens, not sure about Irish passports). It clearly states so on canadian working holiday FAQ for NZ. Has any one ever applied for IEC in Canada itself? I wonder!!!! By the way i am a guy :D
