I just submitted my passport last week and arrived to Detroit consulate a few days ago. I am wondering how long it might take to get the stamped visa back? I am now in US.

Everyone, surprise today - I got the PPR after soooooooooooo many months of waiting.... finally it's my turn. ;) One more message: if you are requested to submit the state police certificate, it's not indicative of background check, probably just a normal process. No worries.

I got request to submit state police certificate after I've done my medicals. Does that mean security check or background check? Any one has the similar situation? My case now seems to be stuck in Ottawa...
