    Healthcare

I don't know which province you will be living in but I do know in Manitoba the work permit needs to be valid for at least one year in order to be provided with a Manitoba provincial health number. If you contact your provincial health authority they will assist you.

Texas to Canada: Harper's Crime Bill is a Huge Mistake

I watched the video but seeing as how it was made by the CBC I don't give it much weight. We have essesntially done nothing but coddle criminals in this country for way too long. Sentences were a joke before and criminals, from this country and from others, knew it. Is it perfect? No. Is it...

going to border for work permit

To the best of my knowledge you can go to any border crossing so long as it is a border crossing that actually has an officer stationed at it. You may want to pick one that sees more traffic as I have found they are usually more knowledgable even though they all should have the same training.

How's your experience with lawyer for inland spouse application? Any reference?

My spouse and I considered using a lawyer for her inland PR application. We met with a few but all wanted a retainer of $5000 before they would even begin to look at our stuff. It was just something we could not afford and we were not impressed with how they handled themselves. They were very...

    Withdrawal Refugee Claim

Why do you want to withdraw it? Chances are it will have an effect if you visit again because they may look at it as you were trying to play the system with a non-legit claim and that you may attempt to do the same thing next visit.

    Extension of WP with LMO

It will not make a difference. Processing times are what they are and actually 139 days is not bad as I have seen it higher at times. His application should been processed in the next few weeks so I would just hang in there.

    Wife becomes pregnant during sponsorship

Having faced a similar situation I would say stay in Germany. Having a child here in Canada is not cheap if you do not have any health insurance etc. It was already mentioned that costs would be around $10,000 CAD. When we looked at it a couple of months ago it was closer to $12,000 for a...

    Conservative anti-immigrant ad

I understand what you are saying about this ad but I take it alot differently. I dont see anything in that ad about the conservatives being against immigration or that they do not like immigrants. All I see is that they are saying they dont want the system, and Canada's generosity, being abused...
