I finally got my passport & visa. It wasn't registered in the system, so that's why nobody could find it. I feel lucky that I got it.

LOL very true. I read a quote once, something like "the wheels of bureaucracy turn slowly", and that's true just about every time anyone has dealings with government workers. Unless you owe them money, that is, then they're right on it, eh?

Sorry, didn't mean to be such a grouch about it. And it is nice to know that others have been/are going through the same things, even though that's unfortunate for everyone. It's just frustrating.....we pay a small fortune in fees, we jump through all the hoops, but still get jerked around...

I lost part of a filling, and am having a lot of pain, so I need to visit a dentist soon. Can anyone tell me how much, approximately, it costs to visit a dentist here in Canada? Since I don't have any insurance coverage, I assume they will want cash up front. I wonder if they accept credit...

I checked ecas a couple of days ago, and now it says "decision made", where last week it still said "in process". I find that very odd, since I received the letter from Immigration congratulating me on my approval and requesting my passport, on December 6, 2010. Wasn't the decision made then...

After looking up my status online, the last entry says that my file was transferred to the LA office in September. A lot has happened since then -- they requested my medicals, they requested my passport. So why is none of this recorded? I sent in my passport last month, and my status still...

I sent my passport to the Los Angeles office on December 20, they received it on December 28, and I still haven't heard anything. I checked e-cas, and it still says "in progress". Should I be worried yet? I am :(
