I applied March 1, 2012 and sent medical in September. Emailed CIC in January and they mentioned the background enquiry. Haven't heard since.

From Pakistan. I last emailed them January 2nd and they said 'We are waiting for mandatory background enquiry'. It's frustrating/stressful but I guess can't do much - hope the agony ends soon. I'll probably email again.

My timeline is almost identical to yours - waiting since medical as well. Let's hope for the best.

Hey OHKIDDA, I read about your timeline in another thread. Have you heard any update after the 'background enquiry' response? Are they responding to any emails? Thanks.

From what I've heard: Criminality --> Home Country Police Certificate + RCMP Screening Security --> CSIS Background Screening Medical --> Authorized Doctor Eligibility --> CEC Pass/Fail Eligibility Test They send medical and others once Eligibility is established. Is this correct?

Here's the response: CIC online status says Medical Received. It's been that way since October though. Any ideas?

Any idea how long the mandatory background enquiry usually takes? Did anyone else get a similar reply from CPP-O? Thanks.
