I know two students in my department who applied under this stream and got rejected for their reference letters. I would guess it is higher for those who don't know to update. I'm pretty sure I would have been rejected if I did not update my letters.

I received the Confirmation of Permanent Residence letter on Thursday. And as you said, no visa counter foil required. There is one photograph attached to the letter. It does not mention that I need to bring any other photographs, but should I bring them with me when I land?

The bank will provide you with a letter called a "Statement of Account" by some of the banks. It shows the account number and amount, with an official stamp by the bank. Sometimes they will make you pay a small fee to get this letter. BMO charged me $10, but at TD it was free. I'm not sure...

Just an update on my status. I'm a September 2012 applicant. Received my GCMS notes today. My assessment date has been pushed back, yet again. It now shows a deadline of 13 January 2014. It has been pushed back repeatedly, first from August 2013, to November 2013, and now to January 2014...

Yes, I included a letter from my direct supervisor detailing the work I do as a course instructor/TA, another letter from Human Resources that had the exact info of my work dates and pay rates, and then of course the PhD attestation letter from the Faculty of Graduate Studies.
