SO my parents got their passports back today with visas till the end of the passport duration (about 4 years) . Timeline is Applied June 16th Medical request received August 28th Medical completed and reports + passport sent September 14th Visa stamped December 12th, 2012. Total duration...

Well FINALLY got a reply from CHC ISBD. Thankfully they did not ask for second medical AND acknowledged that application is in queue for immigration officer review. Though not telling much still it is a relief to get SOME correspondence from them . Still not sure what is taking so much time...

congrats tameez1985 so in your case you had to get a second medical done. correct? Is there any other way to approach CHC , like through a department in Canada. My parents applied in June , medical done in august and still waiting for visa. I think there is something wrong here as i am not...

same here, i have'nt even gotten the reply to my inquiry. Sent on 24th of Oct.

may be it is different for government officers as my father was one. maybe it is taking time because CHC want some verification from government body and delay is from that side? lots of maybe's now a days, such anxious time argh!! >:(

No update yet :( I think something happened to most applications clearing medical in September. Maybe something in India causing the delay. Still don't know why medical results have to go to India for review.

My mistake was that i believed in 77 days that CHC website says it takes for visitor visa and booked the tickets. I will have to cancel them now. 77 days is the longest time of all CHCs over the world! but even then CHC Islamabad is not capable of doing their jobs with in that time period...

I was wondering if there is any source within Canada we can contact for information? My parents have their tickets booked for 13th of Nov and so is the insurance. Now i will have to pay good chunk of money to change the flight dates and insurance dates. but the worst part is i dont know how much...

this is absolutely ridiculous . There is no way to get any information or contact CHC islamabad. It has been more then 45 days since my parents sent passports after medical and still no reply of any sorts. are they sleeping ?

My Understanding is that Medical letter is not issued until other inquiries are completed. For super visa most of the requirements are for person sponsoring (me) to prove, it is easier and quicker to get all the required information verified and only after all requirements are completed and visa...
