    INLANDERS!

I called CIC and asked them what I should do. They gave me the fax number for my local office and said to fax them with my information and the reason as to why I could not attend (which was because of the 2 day notice). The agent also made a note on my file. The office then called me the next...

Hello everyone. I figured I could post my update even though it hasn't been updated on E-cas.. I received a letter from the Vegreville office 2 days ago stating that my application for residency has (finally) been processed and that I just need to wait from my local office (charlottetown, pei)...

    INLANDERS!

So, I decided to call CIC today to see if my OWP has FINALLY been processed yet and it still has NOT after 93 days..once again I've been told to call next week. This is just terrible. Then I asked if my FBI criminal background check was added to my file yet since I sent it in the beginning of...

    INLANDERS!

Being able to stay just with your residency application is untrue..My 1st visitors visa expired july 31st of this year, and because it would be too soon for my AIP I had to apply for the visitors extension. In fact, because they opened my OWP application before my visitor's extension they sent...

    Residency

I feel silly asking this question..but once granted residency, how long does it last? Do you have to renew it? Or after the eligible 3 years to become a citizen do you HAVE to become one? Or can you always be a resident of canada and a citizen of your home country? Sorry if thats confusing.

    Landing Interview Question

Hi, I was just wondering if anyone could answer this for me. My husband will be out of the province for work (but still in Canada) during the time in which I would likely have my Landing Interview if residency is granted to me.. would this cause a problem? Does he HAVE to be at the interview...

    INLANDERS!

I agree...In my case I couldn't do my medicals until April since I was pregnant when I applied in Nov...so I also waited to send in my fingerprints to the FBI because they expire after 6 months. Their process is just completely unfair. I was also wondering.. when you're granted residency and...

    INLANDERS!

Correct, I didn't apply with my PR app because I actually didn't know it was an option.. I wish I had though that's for sure. I'm really just frustrated because as I'm sure everyone else feels..financially it is very hard..and in my case, with a new baby, even more difficult. I just want to be...
