    Oath ceremony after leaving Canada

Thanks, spyfy. I think you are right. The reason why I am still considering asking for a reschedule is that if the ceremony is in a few months I may be able to accrue some leave (not to mention also hopefully a little goodwill) at my new job, and not ask for leave basically in my first week...

    Oath ceremony after leaving Canada

I am hoping someone could have some good advice for how to deal with this situation. I applied for citizenship more than 9 months ago, and passed the citizenship test in early October. Just after the citizenship test my (Canadian citizen) husband got offered a better job in his field with...

Expiring PR Card as I await Oath Invite

My PR card expired in August. I applied for it in early April, when the instruction from CIC was to apply for renewal when the card was 6 months to expiry or less. My application has been returned to me twice by the processing office since for very minor issues that I am convinced I rectified...

Decision made but don't see any decision

The general lack of communication from CIC is so frustrating, and this vague 'decision made' update is yet another example. Would it really be so difficult to give an ECAS update stating that decision made is x or y. If positive, they could state that you will be notified over x period of time...

Thanks, EstherBarros. No, it wasn't urgent, so I am pleasantly surprised! NB: Test / interview date on the spreadsheet is off by a day - it should be October 4.

Just checking in to update - We received the COPR last week and I landed today in BC. Yippee! Even though we paid for a courier there and back it still took a long time from the time everything arrived in Sydney. About 3 weeks I believe. To answer some of Robhi's queries: As I mentioned...

Thread For applications Through SYDNEY (AUSTRALIA) Office

I ended up paying $165 courier there and back (DHL via local UPS store), because if we miss getting it in a certain time window, it will be a lot more expensive getting to a border to land afterwards. I would otherwise have chosen to take the regular post route.

Robhi, you and I applied almost at the same time, and I just got the PPR email yesterday, so hopefully yours won't be much longer. I was also getting concerned that September and October applications were getting approved and yet mine was still in process. I understand how you're feeling! It...

Yippee! I just received the PPR email, too! Sydney office is on a roll! ;D I need to send in photos though, so now have to think about post options from Canada. We're actually travelling twice over the next month, so timing is a concern. If it takes more than 3 weeks, we won't actually be home...

I received an email 2 weeks ago requesting a new IMM5669 form to be completed. There was a problem with 2 questions. A typo in one of the dates on one, and on the other the problem was missing time in my list of addresses. The last address I listed was my Australian residence (until the date I...

Oh, I cannot take any credit for the spreadsheet. It was rachiy who set it up. However, now that she is on the other side of the process, rachiy understandably does not hang out here so much anymore. I don't know what tips to give you. If you have any questions, just ask, and I and the other...

bluemolly, this link should help: http://www.justice.vic.gov.au/home/the+justice+system/statutory+declarations/ Edit: Just to clarify, you will need to get it witnessed. If you are in Australia currently, that will not be a big problem.

Thank you bluemolly. Good luck to you too! That's great news about your visa extension. I applied for restoration of status 3 months ago, and I've heard nothing since. It seems very likely that I will have PR before my restoration is processed. Irony abounds! crassy, perhaps someone else has...
