Applying Citizenship for Child and Parent

I have been looking at the CIT 0001 form. It says under identity documents she will need 2 pieces of personal information, one of which has a photo on it. I assume that I must get her a US passport to have a photo ID? And then her other document can be her birth certificate?

Applying Citizenship for Child and Parent

Thanks for the reply! For my daughter would CIT 0001 be the correct form? I have lived in Canada since March of 2013 (that's what is on my papers) so I'm assuming I've met the requirements?

Applying Citizenship for Child and Parent

Hi all, I left Canada in June 2017 after separating from my husband. I was/am a permanent resident (established PR August 2014). In July 2017 I gave birth to a baby girl in the USA. Her father is Canadian residing in BC. She is currently a US citizen. I'd like to get her dual citizenship if...

No PR card after 4+ months?

Hmm, no idea on the photo. Is the call centre that same one you can never get through to? Where did you go to submit your photos in person? There's the place I got my SIN number up the block but I don't know if I can go there or if I have to go elsewhere in Vancouver. At this point I look so...

No PR card after 4+ months?

So my date of landing was August 4th, and the officers that helped me said it'd take up to 8 weeks to receive my PR card. 11 weeks went by and I faxed a form in stating that I had never received it along with the report number Canada Post gave me when I reported missing mail. That was on...

    Didn't Need Visa?

Ah okay. The CoPR was issued on the 17th looks like. So if the visa was issued before the 17th I can/will get a refund, but if it's issued after the 17th I cannot, correct?

    Didn't Need Visa?

Well I have a funny situation. I sent in all the forms to get my temporary resident status reinstated at the end of last month but today just got the confirmation of permanent residence. :P Are refunds issued on these kinds of things or is that $200 for the visa just gone? We're excited to have...

Payment for Extending a Visa (Urgent)

Whew yeah they're the same. I read on a lawyer's site they'd be the same but I wanted to double-check.

Payment for Extending a Visa (Urgent)

Alright. I just realized... do I have to send in a different form then? I used IMM 5708 for the changing conditions/extend my stay. I that can't be used I guess it's another trip down to a printing place for us since we don't have a printer. Ugh. So pissed right now! We had no idea my husband's...

Payment for Extending a Visa (Urgent)

Do I pay the $100 or $200 though? As I said my visa expired since my husband's work took way too long to get that to him. It expired on the 14th so it's under 90 days. I just need this answered and I can mail in my papers.

Payment for Extending a Visa (Urgent)

I didn't say it was down, I said it was broken. I was trying to use the dropdown menu here and it doesn't work: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/fees/index.asp?cat=Temporary%20Residence Had a friend try it too, and it didn't work for him either. Ugh and I just realized something as...

Payment for Extending a Visa (Urgent)

Actually I didn't know that. Especially since the website can't tell me anything, heh. I guess they changed that since last year?

Payment for Extending a Visa (Urgent)

So the official website seems to be broken, and I don't know exactly who to make this cheque out to. I'm extending a temporary resident visa and this is all that's preventing me from sending it in. I mean I wish I could send in my papers without paying the fee but that's not gonna fly. :P

    Spousal sponsorship

So my husband and I think we're finally about ready to submit our papers but aren't sure about the medical part of it. Do we seek a certified doctor out ourselves and then submit with the form I have (Appendix C is all it's called) with everything else? Other posts on this forum make it sound...

    Visa Extention Processing Times?

Can anyone confirm what Suin said? This is really important.

    Visa Extention Processing Times?

So the 107-day wait is correct then? This is where I get confused over and over. I'm essentially living with my husband in Canada. I have to stay here and can't go back ever with the extension in place? I have to wait for my PR card to come in before I can go to the US? I've gone to the US and...

    Visa Extention Processing Times?

So I got a Visitor Record that was good until May 7th, and I mailed in my extension in Canada on about April 2nd and it was received April 4th. How long do these extensions take to process? I read up to 35 days, but then I see the "Paper Application" times on the Temporary Residence part of the...

    Use of Representative etc.

Yeah, unfortunately I did remember reading if I'm out of the country more than 30 days I'm not eligible to be paid, so that's how it'll be most likely. I did read something on this extension form I wanted to clarify! The two options I'm flip-flopping between are choosing "extension of existing...

    Use of Representative etc.

As far as I know, no. In fact I think all my benefits go away once I actually start living up here even on a VR. So once we submit my immigration application and get further proof that we're indeed applying my husband is going to try and claim me as a dependent on his extended insurance since it...
