    AINP oct 2013 PR tracking

Congrats!!! Yours is the longest waiting time I know of - over 3 months! Really glad to hear these news.

    AINP oct 2013 PR tracking

LOL. CIC tells us to wait, and MPs tell us that the normal processing time is 17 months, just because that's what CIC has on their website, even if it's not one bit representative. All of this could be avoided if they just provided a few more details. If a decision has been made, why the delays?

Congrats and thanks for update. Very little waiting after DM.

Don't assume they have to send something within 8 weeks. Some of us have been waiting for longer.

Even if that's a real thing, if they automatically send the "Your application is being processed within normal times" response to everything, would they even notice?

As far as I know it's copy of the pages that contain main info, not all the stamps and such, pictures and some super simple form. I suggest you don't seal the envelope, so that they can include the bio data. And yes, I hear you on the frustration part. Just the main stuff, most likely.

2 days is probably the fastest we've seen here. They're compensating for all the waiting :)

What the what indeed! Recalling of the message means that they sent you an email, and then changed their mind. The problem is that it's email. They can't just pull it out of your box, so another this an attempt to do that. Did you receive a message from the with the subject "Decision made on...

    AINP oct 2013 PR tracking

I'm now really tempted to talk to my MP office! It's great that they can provide updates with a quick turnaround. Congrats to all on the good news. That's so convenient!

Thanks for the details. I'll wait for another 2 weeks and if nothing comes through, will do the same. You need to call the general CIC call center, not the office where you want to land. I don't know if you can make an appointment before you have all the documents. Let us know.

As you can see, it's not that unusual. If CIC replies, they're just going to tell you that your application will be finalized when they finalize it.

I got DM first week of May - waiting for CoPR/copy of passport request. See http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/decision-made-waiting-for-copr-visaexempt-countries-discussion-thread-t220644.0.html;msg3257145#msg3257145. You might get a copy of passport request before...

No, I got nothing so far. I'm just saying it's awesome you did.

Awesome. One extra step before the CoPR, but it's progress.

Decision Made - waiting for CoPR (visa-exempt countries) discussion thread

I think it's very reasonable to get your MP involved at this point. There's this range of 2-8 weeks quoted by some for contact after DM based on what CIC supposedly told them. Out out curiosity, when emailing them, did you include all of the detailed information they ask for to identify you? I...

Are you allowed to stay here if your work permit expires? You would think, but some of us have been waiting for quite a while. Although I do know about some quick DM to CoPR case too, so it varies.

Decision Made - waiting for CoPR (visa-exempt countries) discussion thread

Please keep posts in this thread on topic. Applicants from visa-exempt countries are not requested to submit their passports (no PPR). The process isn't drastically different, but oddly enough, the time lines apparently can be longer.
