Mine took just 2 days, entirely depends on your local office and your circumstances. Everyone is different.

    February 2016 Applications

I didn't have anything between 'in process' and test invite. I also didn't get anything between test invite and complete, my ECAS was never updated with oath invite. Everything was super fast for me, my local office was Windsor

Proof of time spent in Canada for citizenship

I live near the border and so travel across it VERY regularly. I requested my travel info from CBSA and matched it with my I-95 record and it was totally accurate, for every time I entered the US I have a matching record for when I returned back into Canada. From 2009 to October 2015 every trip...

No invitation for oath 8 months after exam

To be fair, the average Canadian citizen also cannot pass a law that requires anyone to do anything! The ONLY thing my husband as a citizen, can do that I can't, is vote for his local Member of Parliament on the 3rd Monday of October every four years! Other than that there is nothing he can do...

    Am I Canadian?

An amusing comment from someone who consistently gives out bad advice based on their own personal opinion

How to address missing stamp during interview

If you drive over the border to the US you don't always get a stamp in your passport. This is my experience - I live very near the border crossing to the states and regularly go over the border to shop, to sports events, or even sometimes just for a drive. I only get a stamp in my passport every...

How long for November 2015 application to be in process?

Thanks, I figured out I needed 10 posts to update my signature and have now done so. About my citizenship application, I am excited to get it sorted but also patient enough to let the process take it course.

I've been a PR for 5 and a half years, been in Canada most of that time. I sent all the information required for the new PR card application and added my itinerary and proof of payment. They received it on 30th October, they started processing on 3rd November and mailed it back to me on 5th, I...

How long for November 2015 application to be in process?

So I sent my application for citizenship on 6th November, it was received on the 9th and I got AOR the 18th. How long can I expect to wait for my status to change to In Process? Also anyone know why I can't update my signature to add my citizenship progress? I have no forum profile button.

    PR Card Renewal - 2015 - Timeline

I would add that if you have travel booked then send your itinerary with your application and mark the envelope urgent. I sent my app for renewal in October and got my new card within 10 days. My travel is booked for January.

Flying to America and crossing the border to land

I always flew into Detroit (as my husband also lives over the border just outside Windsor) and I never had any problems with US immigration coming and going every 8 weeks for more than 2 years. I've applied inland though so I won't have to fly in to 'land'.
