Hi guys, I'm a November applicant, sponsored my Irish husband outland. Just wanted to say Hi and give you some encouragement as I know how difficult and worrying the waiting process can be. Our November group still has a few people waiting on their passports back, but other than that most of...

Visa approved and passport requested! Can't believe it was so fast! About 2 weeks ago we received a similar email as schmuhahaha, asking us to send an Original police certificate. That's weird, we thought...We definately sent the original...So I sent the London Office an email through their...

I would call again, civil servants can be extremely unhelpful if they feel like it. I've had plenty of experiences with immigration in both Canada and Ireland where the person on the other end of the phone decided my phone call was an inconvenience to them, so they would be as difficult as...

That is weird catchvb, don't know why, maybe there was something filled in incorrectly, there are lots of reasons why, I wouldn't panic though. Wait til you get the letter, it's probably not a big issue, you will probably just have to fix some of the paperwork then resubmit and it will take a...

Hi Monarch I've heard that people have sent their applications by courier to both addresses and haven't heard of any problems with either. We sent to the street address- Robert Speck Parkway, and UPS tracking shows it was delivered. Hope that helps.

I'm sure there are lots of others, maybe they just aren't on this forum. We are so lucky to have this forum, it is like a big support system, not everyone else is so lucky. Nearly every person on this thread is from a different country so far.

Sulo, here is the link to the cic website with application processing times. You will see Colombo if you scroll down to Asia and Pacific. These are the estimated times it should take in months. Since you're sponsoring your husband you would have sent to Mississauga first which is currently...

Desperate for an advice on our case

Inaina, I know it's so frustrating, people don't realise how difficult it can be to be in an international relationship. I am from Canada, my husband is from Ireland. We are currently now living in Ireland. We met in 2001, decided we wanted to get married within the first few months, and did...

Desperate for an advice on our case

Well said toby! I completely agree, and diddagirl I think you are misunderstanding the point toby is trying to make. He is not saying all applications that happen to have a large amount of documentation are phony, the point intended was instead that it is forgivable to NOT have a record of all...

Please do advise the what to do

This is a terrible situation Suin! My heart goes out to you. At least you do have some time to try and sort this out before your permit is up. Your best bet is to send them a letter explaining that you are not in contact with their father, dont know where he is and that he has no rights nor...
