Hi all, my husband's employer in Canada received their phone call yesterday to check the job offer, after nearly 18 months, hopefully won't be much longer now!

was just reading that in 2013 there are 450 more places for SINP nominations, so The Star Phoenix reports. Who knows, maybe some more nominations may filter through now...

From what I can see most family ones do seem to be taking this long, just concerned that most of the skilled worker ones are going to be taking this long too. We shall see.

Well in my opinion still, 22 months is too long but I'm at 17 months and I'm stating to doubt it's going to happen at this rate, I certainly expect to be waiting into 2014 but I hope it's sooner.

hi sttk, 22 months is a long time for a skilled worker application to take. Ours is at 17 months now. Have you tried contacting SINP via phone or email? I know sometimes the answers aren't always helpful but after 22 months I would hope they can give you some information as to what's going on...

Hi Poli No my husband's employer hasn't been contacted yet about anything, he tried to make contact with SINP to see where our application was at but usual answer; can't tell him anything we have to chase it ourselves. So were SINP confirming your offer of employment with them?

When I emailed them to say that our skilled worker application has taken 16 months and we're a little concerned, we got back 'application is still in process'. Helpful.

We applied December 2011 skilled worker and still waiting, had 2 additonal document requests, first being December 2012 and then Januray 2013 so hoping won't be much longer.

David001: I also applied by paper :-( so no clue as to anything at the moment unfortunately lol

Still waiting since Dec 2011 skilled worker, last lot of additional documents were sent 3 months ago... This wait is dragging.

So we called them yesterday, and apparently their computer system is down, they won't tell us anything about our application anyway (no surprise there) and then hung up on us lol. Just continue to wait.

Decided to send an email last week, just checking everything is ok as it's been 15 months and my reply was... 'Application is still in process'. Very helpful so going to try and call later to see if I can get any better answers but I won't hold my breath!

Applied under skilled worker December 2011 and still waiting for nomination too.

:( Submitted ours (SW) mid December 2011 so nearly 15 months waiting, 2 additional document requests and nearly 7 weeks since we submitted last documents... I wouldn't mind the wait if you at least knew where you were in the process. Frustrating.

Nope applied under Skilled Worker Stream, to get the 35 points required we're proving family in Saskatoon.
