I got my PR visa in the mail a few days ago and I was just wondering if by chance I could just go to the Calgary airport to "land." It would save me 6 hours of driving to the border. Just curious. Thanks :)

Yep :) Some people get them and others don't. Some people get them right when they arrive at the visa office and others get them a month before they are issued their visa. I think it depends on the immigration officer (IO) that you have. More people than not get them though.

I got mine back today. I mailed it canada post express from Calgary to Fort Erie on Oct 8 and got it back today Oct 19.

Yes, and it was helpful thank-you. I'm just looking for if anyone has a complete list or knows of somewhere I can find a list of all the things together specific to Alberta. I had no idea that each prov. was different. I just don't want to miss anything....

Just FYI, your husband can get a drivers license in Alberta even if he hasn't landed. I just got mine 2 weeks ago. I just needed my California drivers license, my husband's passport (he's a canadian) our marriage cert, and a piece of mail from our Alberta address with my name on it.

Put your eye colour and height on a separate piece of paper with your name, date of birth and file number. Write your name on the back of the photos.

It is really hard to understand what exactly you are asking here. Are you saying that you emailed buffalo and asked them to change your address from Ohio to Georgia, but they continued to send documents to your old address in Ohio. Now you live in Canada and you want to change your address...

"they said it was not necessary," I've heard this before only for them to request it later in the process. I would order it now and keep it. If they don't ask for it, great. If they do, you just saved yourself 6 weeks of waiting for the RCMP to process your request. Your file does not do...
