Help! Common law sponsorship thru family class + IEC New Zealand

Hey there, My boyfriend (the applicant) was in a similar situation this summer. He was on his 2nd WHP visa (Ireland) and it was about to expire in August. We had been told by CIC & CBSA agents that even if he was on WHP visa that he could apply for a regular work permit (LMO & all) before the...

Yeah it was a business trip so he really had to go. We knew the risks but he had to go. I had also read all sorts of things too but we made sure to call CIC and actual border agents and they reassured me that since it was a business trip (with a work permit, CAQ & positive LMO) and that he had...

Hi, I wouldn't worry too much. It usually takes 3-4 months before an email acknowledgement. Some people get a letter and some don't get any correspondence at all without it affecting their application. Good luck!

Hey everyone, So still no news about the DM, but the good news is, my boyfriend made it back from his 7+ week trip abroad. He got back on Sunday night. The officer only asked him if he was living here, where he worked and what he did. My boyfriend had planned to mention about the PR application...

Did you send finger prints with your application for an RCMP check? Because someone on the 2011 or 2012 thread said that if the applicant has lived in Canada for over a year they ask for them for background checks usually. We haven't gotten a request for them nor did we send prints along with...

I was thinking about that (ordering FOSS notes). I figured that we'd wait a little because I was sure we'd get DM soon, but if I don't hear from from them by December, I probably will. We're both in our mid-20s. I have lived here for over 20 years and my boyfriend for 2 years. I don't see how...

Thank you! I hope so too. Nope, he wasn't in the military and he hasn't lived anywhere besides Ireland and Canada. In terms, of criminality, he has never even been arrested. The only thing I could think of is them wanting to do a background check for Canada maybe? The thing is that they...

Hey everyone! Congrats Mdna and Vinlander! We actually haven't heard anything from CIC since AIP :( I called CIC about a week ago and they said that all the documents were in order but nothing more...

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2012

It can take some time before you can log in. It's normal that the UCI doesn't match your husband's work permit because the UCI that you received in the email is yours, the sponsor's. And no, don't add a hyphen.

    Inland Application 2011

Like others said, it's most likely a security concern. From what I gathered from your previous posts, you're a failed refugee with a previous conditional discharge. Although a conditional discharge is not a conviction, it still stays in the system for 3 years so that may be what is causing...

    2012 Quebec Inland Applicants

If you applied Outland, which it seems is the case then we can't be of much help to you since we ALL applied inland, meaning our process is different than yours. That said, you're still supposed to wait for them (CIC) to send you a letter to continue the process with Quebec. Like Vinlander said...
