Congrats! You get to start the new year together! My wife just got her PR card. Took over 2 months to get here. So don't worry about withdrawals from waiting... There is always more waiting...

I changed the link in my sig to the new sheet, and changed the notice at the top and bottom of my sheet to say the old sheet is closed down and a hyperlink to click to get to the new sheet.

I'm FREE!!! Thanks Gooner, :D BTW, the sheet was as up to date as people sent me info. It just goes to show you how few will take the time to do a simple PM.

No one PMs their updates so no changes in a while. No one seems to want to take it over either.

It hasn't been "dormant". I have been updating it when people send me updates or I notice a change of status in a thread I happen to be reading. I am not actively scanning all the Manila threads anymore (I am too busy to do that these days). So if people don't send updates then none are...

I think the sheet you are referring to was a sheet someone else had posted of average length of time from remedical to visa. But when I locked the sheet I removed that page because it was a static sheet and the data was already out of date. In other words someone needed to be cutting/pasting...

Hey all, been really busy settling in with my wifey. Got the SIN and photo id out of the way. Still going through my landing checklist. And she is trying to get used to the cold weather. :o Yeah, there may be less updates since the sheet was locked. Many people don't send updates even...

    June 2013 - Outland Applications!

That is how it works. If you filled out the use of a representative so the sponsor can see the application, then the sponsor will see both statuses. If you didn't, the sponsor will only see their own status. The same goes for the applicant. If you set the applicant up as a representative for...

Depends on the coverage you want. The Blue Cross plan looked pretty good. And it would also cover her if we decided to pop across the border for shopping (not all plans do that).

I got Blue Cross for about $350. That included a few extra days in case of any problems activating OHIP coverage.

You have to wait 3 months to be eligible for health care anyway, so the extra month you may save to apply isn't really getting you anything as the card won't come any faster. I think when my wife gets hers I will finally give in and get the new card as well. The new card is good for 5 years so...

Yeah, but you still have to wait for the next statement for it to show. An Ontario Photo Card will take the same time so we will go with that since she doesn't drive.
