    They don't want a proof of sponsor's DOB. They want a birth certificate of the sponsor, as a proof of relationship between the sponsor (children) and the person being sponsored ( parents).

    I am not sure about that. I had asked my parents, who are in India to get the birth certificate made. Just in case I get the invitation for the sponsorship.

    Hi angelruth...that's perfectly f9 if the scotia bank account is on your husband's name because all the POF either needs to be on your name or it can be on the name of any dependent who is accompanying you which in case is your husband :)

    Yes they accept scotia bank statement....don't worry when you will have the bank statements with you they won't ask anything else

    Hi dina07 its Canada and not India....crime is negligible out here and its not only safe to live alone but one of the safest countries for women so don't worry you can roam around freely even at 2 or 3 in the night !!

    They won't ask you to show your POF but still you can carry the bank statements with you just to be on the safer side
