    Chickloo, you'd not b allowed to apply for GC on TN visa. That's part of nafta treaty, that provisions tn visa. You'll need to convert tn visa to other visa like l1 or h1 to apply for gc.

    Can't agree any less. CGI makes the formula complex - BLS adds confusion at best to the complexity. Even a complex formula can be understood by following a methodical approach (CGI) - but its toilsome to get to the bottom of a confusing equation. I wonder some times, VFS is n't this confusing...

    No surprise to know bls is confused... The are always confused and confuse applicants. I had 1 such experience with call centre agent recently... Such immigration illiterates I'd say, the bls staff are. PIO to OCI... No fresh appln. So, it falls under 'OCI miscellaneous' Also pio to OCI fees...

    It's more of a 'renounciation fee' than a 'passport' surrender fee. Well, I'm not saying the fee is ok- it's certainly hefty, and hard to bear... But that's the way it is .... Like check out USA renunciation fee - that would be humongous...
