I think within the last 4 years immediately preceeding your application date for citizenship, if you spent 183 days or more in another country (other than Canada), you must provide a police certificate. You must also provide a police certificate for each country where you spent 183 days or more...

Nothing much you can do at this point. I'd say wait, be patience to hear back from IRCC on the next step, and let everything play out naturally. Signing a form is unlikely to harm your application in any way, as long as you completely meet all the requirements of becoming a citizen. Don't worry...

As explained by sheriB, ATIP's GCMS request does no damage to anything, as long as its not abused. It is one of your taxpayer's right! Should you request it less often? probably yes, but getting angry, upset about nothing or condemning those who choose to exercise their rights makes no sense...
