    it changes. but i would say around 2-3 weeks on average. a few people get it in a week and a few others wait for around a month or so. it`s hard to predict the exact duration.

    hello guys, i sent my passport on august 26 and received it back today; so it took 11 days in total. as soon as i received it, i went to the border to do the landing and as of today i'm officially a permanent resident. i wish good luck to everyone who is still waiting for their pprs or passports.

    @DK84, yeah, just send 2 photos with the date on them. but i don't think it would be a problem even if you sent the photos without dates. if you live in canada, xpressport is the better way as you can keep track of your mail.

    first of all, congrats! 1. no, you don`t need to send any other document unless you are asked for it. 2. no, you just fill out the form. 3. i don`t think it can hurt. actually, some photographers do it without even asking you.

    i sent my passport today too. i am in Canada and i sent the documents with xpresspost envelopes. I am told that CPP-Ottawa should receive the package tomorrow. I hope we can get our passports back before mid September.

    the last time cic contacted me was in early april 2013 asking for rprf and personal history and i haven`t heard from them since. i asked them about my application once but all i received was a standard reply so i just had to wait.
