I wouldn't worry that your AIP is taking longer, it can take up to 3 months I believe, and they seem to be processing very slowly lately maybe because of summer holidays. Also it doesn't mean your timeline will take any longer than us, as you see my timeline was delayed a lot between AIP -...

Give the CIC a call and check they have your names correct there first, ask them about the CSQ but I think they'll advise you to call Quebec too because the CSQ is your gateway to healthcare card and other things and I think they will need the details to be correct.

Assuming some of you (if you haven't yet) will be applying for french courses soon. I've been wondering when to apply for mine, I can't find any info on rough times when these sets of 11 week full-time courses start. I couldn't possibly start until September so I don't know if I apply now or...

Wow i'd have been pretty angry at that. Having to go to Montreal another day because of their mistake ? What if you lived 100 miles away and had to take a day off work, your boyfriend take another day off, etc etc. They should have tried to get you in on the same day, I am sure it can't take...

Good luck, not that you need it, straight forward process :) At RAMQ when you go to reception to get the "ticket" tell them you're there to upgrade your status to permanent resident and you have the document with you. They put us in a different "queue" so we didn't have to wait after all the...

    2012 Quebec Inland Applicants

Oh, suggest you go to RAMQ on Maisonneuve straight after appointment to change your status to PR. We came home (out of Montreal) only to be told to either go visit the RAMQ or post my ORIGINAL PR DOCUMENT to them. And I do not trust the post, too many bad experiences this year.

You can phone CIC call centre to check they received it, but generally it can be around 3 months for AIP. Some people just get lucky with quick ones.

About the SIN application Just been reading about it, and says the only acceptable form of document is a PR Card if you applied within Canada - HOWEVER, I have seen other people on this forum get it, so wondering if anyone remembers or knows what they used ?
