You are bit worried, my friend who stays in UAE had done his medical on 2nd April with MR line appeared on 3rd May, he is expecting his PPR from PVO by 3rd of June. I feel that he is over optimistic. Because, I assume that it takes 2 to 2.5 months since the appearance of MR line.

I am not an expert but I could sense that you didn't show up your intention to IOs that you would be a permanent resident. You friends address on top of that angered the IO. You need to show that you are going to settle in Canada, at least for 2 years. So plan it again.
