You are right but the amount of uncertainty and delay I had faced during processing my PR application makes me sensitive to any CIC movement.

Hi Behrooz, No, It doesn't. You have to update their database and they will send you a new card (which doesn't have expiry date) but the card number is the same.

It is correct. I wanted to do landing at the boarder but I received an email about a scheduled appointment for landing interview at local CIC office in Calgary. As I said, the interview process wasn't more than checking some documents.

I was invited to an interview room but it was not an interview! She checked our documents and stamped our passports and signed the CoPR. That's all.
