Look at it from another angle...

Do you mind if I ask what kind of jobs you are talking about? I wonder since when people with an associate's degree from a community college started having a professional job in the US.

    ADMISSIONS?

I highly doubt you can get into McGill with an associate's degree from a US community college. First try to get into a major US university and then transfer to McGill.

best way to transfer my saving from Dubai to Canada?

It is probably because Vietnam is still a communist country.

Moving car from US to Calgary

That's probably the right price. I doubt you can find a better price. Either sell the car or drive it yourself. It's not that hard if you move in summer, but in winter of course it's a different story, due to terrible Canadian weather.

Look at it from another angle...

I kind of agree. It's almost next to impossible to find a professional job IN Canada, because once in Canada, you are considered as "losers" regardless of your qualifications and past work experience and looked down upon wherever you go. NEVER come to Canada without a job offer. Canadian PR is a...

finding a teaching job in primary or kindergarten schools

No. Even Canadian born teachers with Canadian credentials can't find teaching jobs here. There are MANY MANY news articles written about this ongoing problem. Do some homework before coming here. Seriously.

Insurance for old used cars (Toronto)?

You got that right, boy. Yes, it's crazy here. A nightmare you'll never wake up from, unless you are out of Canada. Mechanics prey on immigrants like you, slapping you with one eye-popping bill after another. LOL.

    Singaporean to move to Canada

Yes, Mr. Lim. All you need is a job and sponsor. The easiest part is to "drive to the US border make a U turn and apply for [your] work permit at the border."

RQ after getting Invitation letter to take Oath [Mississauga]

I just hope you really had a good time with your family in India or wherever it is you are from. That's what matters, innit? If you think your vacation is worth years of wait constantly wondering why you got RQ and when you'll get the invitation again, then everything is OK. No?

    Singaporean to move to Canada

Yeah, true. Canada is very provincial. If you are from another province, you are considered as an outsider. It doesn't matter whether you're a Canadian citizen/PR or an immigrant.

    Singaporean to move to Canada

Very true. Very conservative. Always leery of outsiders, more so if they are extremely talented or better qualified than most Canucks. Often mediocrity rules in Canadian workplaces. Always try to go with the flow, never rock the boat. If you are from the US, never compare anything Canadian to...

RQ after getting Invitation letter to take Oath [Mississauga]

You brought it to yourself. It was a really dumb thing to do, I mean, to discuss with CO your vacation plan abroad, especially considering the fact that people could get RQ anytime these days, that is, even after getting an invitation to the oath ceremony.

If you are not bi-lingual, why move to and live in Quebec, looking for a survival job? Seriously.

oil and gas/offshore engineer jobs? suggestions?

There was an Indian guy with exactly the same qualification who ended up working as a security guard somewhere in Toronto.

    Survival Jobs in Calgary

Again I want to distinguish two groups of survival jobs: one in big Canadian-(American) businesses (Canadian Tire, Zeller, Walmart, Zehrs, Sobey's, Low's, Home Depot, Staples, etc) and the other in small mom-and-pop ethnic shops, stores, restaurants, etc. If you think it's easy to get a job in...

I am Police Worker in UK and wants to move in Canada, any advice pls?

I'll agree to most of what newtone says. You can start as a security guard. You'll also need to attend school like he said. I'd suggest you go to Vancouver if you're colored instead of Toronto.

    JOB PROSPECTS IN WINDSOR

Windsor is one of the most polluted cities in Canada with a lot of bad things going on, such as prostitution, but there's a significant immigrant population. The majority of immigrants own small shops for tourists from the US and they tend to want to hire people from their home countries...

Job ads on the Internet in Canada

Another thing to keep in mind is there are a lot of placement agencies in Canada, which you don't see in the US. I think the reason behind this is Canadian employment practices are so unethical and discriminatory against minorities and immigrants that without these agencies many companies will...

    Job In Canada

U.K. degrees are worthless in Canada. Any degrees are worthless in Canada. You get jobs in Canada not because of what you know but because of whom you know!
