I have applied under H1 B stream on my own (No consultant). Application Received: May 28th. NOC CODE: 2132 (Mechanical Engg) No communication from AINP. Just got a general email in Aug that it may take upto 12 months to process the application. I emailed them in July and email me the file...

I have submitted my application on May 28th under NOC 2132 (Mechanical Eng). I have received no communication. Last month I emailed AINP at Immigration [Immigration.info@gov.ab.ca] and they emailed me File Number. If you are still waiting for file number, contact AINP.

My H1 visa's 3 year validly is expiring on 31st September and my company has already applied for his extension and it is under process.In this condition, Can I start the process at this moment ? Or need to wait till his H1 gets extended??
